AMERICAN. Vanished on May 30, 2005 while a tourist in ARUBA.

NATALEE was born October 21, 1986. She is 5’ 5” tall and 105 pounds. Slim, athletic build. Medium complexion. Blue eyes. Blonde hair, past NATALEE’s shoulders in length.

Body distinguishing marks: Scar between her shoulder and shoulder blade; Large brown freckle that can be seen from afar on her right arm.

Last seen wearing a blue denim, above knee-length skirt, brown flip-flops, and a sleeveless halter top with a white background decorated with alternating green and turquoise colored stripes inlaid with many small hearts.

Vanished on May 30, 2005 shortly after 1:00 AM when she was last observed outside of the ORANJESTAD, ARUBA bar "Carlos 'N Charlie's" with the 3 Main Murder Suspects inside of a car owned and being driven by Current Murder Suspect DEEPAK KALPOE. Current Murder Suspect SATISH KALPOE was in the front passenger seat, and NATALEE was sitting in the back left seat with Prime Murder Suspect JORAN VAN DER SLOOT.*

NATALEE has previously made a public profession of her religious faith, was baptized, and attends church regularly in her hometown of BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. She chose to be active in the “Bible Club” at her school. One of NATALEE’s best friends, MADISON WHATLEY, stated in her affidavit after NATALEE vanished that Bible Study was a very important part of NATALEE's life, and that NATALEE was very close with their Bible Study teacher.

NATALEE works part-time at the natural foods store, “Harvest Glen Market,” in Crestline Village (where she earned her own money to pay for her ARUBA trip package). NATALEE voluntarily works for the “Teens Actively Serving the Community” group. She voluntarily works for a group helping physically and mentally challenged people. NATALEE also volunteered to help in the “Natural Helpers,” a peer-based support group.

NATALEE has never run away from home, nor threatened to run away, at anytime. (She even pre-packed her baggage the night before she vanished in preparation for her to return home)

As far as her parents, friends, and authorities who have stated know, NATALEE has never ingested any illegal drug.

She was selected as a dancer for the “Dorians,” her high school's dance squad, and was also an active volunteer member for her school “pep” group “Spartan Pride.”

NATALEE voluntarily participated in her high school student government. She is a volunteer member in the “Future Business Leaders of America,” the “Outdoors Club,” the “Spanish Club,” the “Spanish Honor Society,” and “The American Field Service,” a club which interacts with the foreign exchange students. NATALEE is an officer for “Mu Alpha Theta,” an honors society for excellence in mathematics.

NATALEE earned a “National Honors Society” high school national top 10% “laude” award (she achieved a 4.15 grade point average, graduating 25th in her senior class--a VERY competitive class with a 3.875 aggregate GPA, and with 25% of the senior students scoring higher than a 1360 total on the SAT test, and 28 on the ACT test). NATALEE has been recognized by the “Who’s Who” for UNITED STATES high school students.

For her high scholastic achievements, NATALEE received an offer and had already accepted a full-ride-paid academic scholarship from the “University of Alabama” which was to have started August 15, 2005. She had already made her decision to enter the field of pre-medicine studies offered her by the university‘s 8-year, full-ride-paid, “Early Acceptance to the School of Medicine” (EASOM) program with her specific career goal to be a Doctor of Pediatrics.

NATALEE’s mother, BETH HOLLOWAY-TWITTY, took the summer of 2005 off her speech therapist work to help her daughter prepare for starting college. In his affidavit given after NATALEE vanished, her very good friend JOHN CANTRELL stated that NATALEE is “a friendly girl who was kind to everyone, but in no way sexually aggressive or promiscuous.” CANTRELL stated that he never saw NATALEE drink alcohol to excess. CANTRELL stated that he has seen NATALEE and her mother together, and CANTRELL has spoken with NATALEE specifically about her relationship with her mother. CANTRELL stated that NATALEE and her mother have a very close relationship, and that he never heard NATALEE say anything negative about her mother. Her mother stated that NATALEE had been preparing and earning her own money for the trip to ARUBA since February 2005, and that NATALEE had previously earned the trust of her parents, having repeatedly demonstrated the maturity to take a prior trip to AUSTRIA with her mother, and a trip to CANADA.

Then, Prime Murder Suspect JORAN VAN DER SLOOT changed his alibi-lies on May 31, 2005 and he claimed that the 3 Main Murder Suspects took NATALEE to the “California lighthouse” area (while she was slipping in & out of consciousness), then, they all took NATALEE to the “Holiday Inn” entrance where they dropped NATALEE off at about 2:00 AM on May 30, 2005. All 3 Main Murder Suspects also claimed that NATALEE‘s head was hit by the street pavement when she tripped getting out of their car,

Then, Prime Murder Suspect JORAN VAN DER SLOOT changed his alibi-lies and told his school headmaster that NATALEE had hit her head on some rocks and drowned

Then, Prime Murder Suspect JORAN VAN DER SLOOT changed his alibi-lies and he claimed that the 3 Main Murder Suspects took NATALEE to the “California lighthouse” area (while she was slipping in & out of consciousness), then, they all took NATALEE to the Suspects VAN DER SLOOTS home where Prime Murder Suspect JORAN VAN DER SLOOT claimed he was dropped off at his home first, and then it was the Suspects KALPOE brothers who drove away with NATALEE, supposedly, with the Suspects KALPOE’s taking NATALEE back to her “Holiday Inn,” ++

On November 27, 2006 PETER R. DE VRIES, a crime journalist from HOLLAND, stated to FOX News:

But Mr. Carlo insisted to have a talk with the head prosecutor, and then, well, he said, “Okay. Come along to my office, and then we have a talk.” And when he went there, they had that talk, and then he said, “Well, I want you to know that my client, Joran van der Sloot, played a major part in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.”

What I figured out is that the police is thinking at this moment that Natalee hasn't been on the beach that night, at all, and that somewhere else something might have happened, but not on the beach.

I have been reading Aruba AM, the English Aruban newspaper sent out over the Internet. There appears to be a growing backlash against the Holloway family that I am very concerned about. I am sure the people in Aruba wish this investigation could be resolved as much as our family does.

The people in Aruba have been overwhelming supportive of our entire family since Natalee’s disappearance. When I arrived on the Island two days after she was reported missing, I was always greeted with expressions of concern and hope for Natalee’s return. There are hundreds if not thousands of stories of people coming together and helping each other during this incident. Bernadett from Economy Car Rental, the people at "Holiday Inn," the Aruban Government Workers who left work to search the island are just a few of the examples. This is the good story of Aruba. The compassion and desire to help has meant more than you can imagine to our family.

Unfortunately, there are a very small number of individuals that are holding the people of Aruba, the Holloway family and what seems like the whole world hostage. These individuals are not a reflection of the Aruban people or the system of Justice in Aruba. These individuals know what happened and are refusing to accept responsibility for their actions. It also appears that certain individuals may be attempting to protect those individuals that know what happened. Helping them hide from their responsibility will destroy rather than preserve what is left of their lives, hopes and dreams.

The concerns that we have about the investigation are real. It began with the 10-day delay with taking the three original suspects into custody. My sister, Beth and her husband, Jug, arrived on the island the same day Natalee was reported missing. They were able to identify the three individuals she had last been seen with and report this to the Police. The three suspects were briefly questioned and released. Their stories turned out to be false and their allegations led to the detainment of two innocent individuals. In a missing person case, every day is critical. Ten days would allow those individuals responsible time to hide evidence and coordinate their stories. What if the missing person was alive in those first few days? The failure to take those individuals into custody and seek evidence may have damaged this investigation beyond repair. Why was this done? Was it an attempt to cover up whatever happened and or protect those individuals involved?

Because the father of one of the suspects is a member of the judicial system, there was immediate concern on behalf of the family that the investigation might not be fair and objective. The interest and presence of the F.B.I. along with assurances from the US Government and the Prime Minister of Aruba reduced those concerns.

Actions since then have again increased concerns that the investigation is not being done in an objective manner. Why would you refuse assistance from the F.B.I. in resolving a difficult case? Why would you hinder a private search team, composed of a group of volunteers whose director has experienced a similar loss of his own?

The release of two of the suspects is also a matter of concern. Although the latest (third) story of one of the suspects places him alone with Natalee on the beach, the other two have admitted to lying. Is this not obstruction of justice, interfering with an investigation or conspiracy to cover up a crime? Aren't these illegal activities whether or not you are involved in the actual crime itself? How can these individuals be allowed to go free and possibly leave the country? Why would they lie unless they had knowledge of a crime either before or after the fact? Why would the father of one of the suspects tell all three that without a body, there is no crime?

As you can see, our many questions and concerns are about the investigation, not the Island or the people of Aruba. They are as much a victim of these individuals as we are. Please join us in our request to the Prime Minister of Aruba and the Dutch Authorities to launch an independent investigation of this matter and allow all of us to learn the truth, return Natalee to her home and go forward with our lives.

Natalee became the victim of local criminals on the island of Aruba.Even if I were to believe as some claim she is alive and simply ran away, that would not account for the many lies of Joran van der Sloot; nor would it eliminate the fact she was a stranger to Aruba and it would be next to impossible for her to have left the island by whatever means without a local witnessing it.
Why would a local have kept quiet, allowing their country to be exposed to this black eye?

I am sure you can conclude, as I, that there is only one logical explanation; that whatever one witnessed was criminal in nature.

Some have even gone as far as to claim Natalee's classmates are responsible for her disappearance, but that is flawed. How could they have hidden her body, so well in a few hours on an island that they were strangers on? Surely, if Natalee is dead it is at the hands of someone(s) that knows the island well.

The conclusion must be that the enemy is within the Aruban community.

On an island of approximately one-hundred-thousand people, surely, someone not criminally involved knows something or has heard something.

Why have they not come forward to the Police?

Do they fear the government?

Even if it is not for Natalee's family, come forward for the sake of the Aruban people.Here are some questions that I ponder; the investigation has been poorly run. Is it out of corruption or lack of intelligence in conducting investigations? If the answer lies in the former, than it would explain why no physical evidence or body has been found. On the other hand if it is out of the latter, then it seems unlikely some physical evidence accidentally has not been recovered. However, the Police continue to pursue a rape/murder scenario. That would not be worthy of an investigative gold star.

Does one really think that the perfect crime has been committed, or might it be a bad investigation?

Why is it that Karin Janssen and all other Investigators have not been replaced? While I do not think they are conducting the best investigation possible, even if they were, and at this stage with no justice, it would only be prudent to bring in a new team that may be able to see what they have missed; a fresh set of eyes and perspective. I can think of a multitude of kidnapping scenarios and not just sexual slavery. It is clear that there is a sex slavery problem the world over and in particular this region, it is shameful that some would choose to mock such a suggestion and even if it never happened in Aruba before consider this; something always has to have a beginning. I can even come up with none sex slavery scenarios involving Joran van der Sloot.The situation is clear; Natalee's family cannot move forward, and Aruba will not be allowed to move forward, until the truth is known.

It is vital for the sake of Arubaans that this case be solved.

Someone amongst the Aruban community knows what happened to Natalee; is it you, your neighbor, a friend or a stranger?

Understand that there is but one victim, and it is Natalee.

It is natural to want to have someone to blame for our problems, even though more often than not we alone are responsible. I can understand the desire of Arubaans to blame Natalee's family, and in particular Beth, for their problems and black eye. It must be conceded that their actions are in response to the abduction of their daughter and the fact the Police allowed known liars to run loose in the form of Joran van der Sloot [and Deepak and Satish Kalpoe].

If Joran is guilty, all blame falls on him. If he is innocent he still must shelter a lot of the blame.

One can only wonder how it would have been different had he chosen truth over lies.

You want someone to blame?

Look no further than Joran van der Sloot.

It is time to be a hero for Aruba and come forward with the truth of what happened to Natalee.
